Here is yet another catch up post to show you some of my finds from the farm fields. Nothing spectacular, just saving history one piece at a time. First is three injuns 1868, 1879 and 1890 next is 1865 indian and a large floral flat button, came from a field I have been hunting for over 5 yrs These finds were from a hard hunted field, beans just got harvested so I decided to give it a go, indian was toast, 1880, the enameled pin is a mother's blue star pin from WWI These finds came from a new field, few indians, and a couple nice nickels that don't seem to show up too often in the fields Went back to the same field the next day after work and scored this 1918 merc dime Picked up a tesorso vaquero to play with in the fields, took it to a site right down the road to try it out, nabbed two indians, 1874, and a toasty 1880 that had a nail right on top And lastly to catch me up ,We got a little warm up after a week of temps in the teens, so a buddy and I hit a well pounded field sunday, Finds were very slim. Only coin I found, was a beat up 1856 seated dime. But hey its old, and its seated, and its silver.....not complaining lol. No idea what the long skinny thing is. Looks like it has people on it
