Last nite after work I hunted a really old house on a corner lot, small yard, lots of junk....but did manage to catch a few indians. 3 of them were nice shape, and one was EXTREMELY CRUSTY, I did not even think I would get a date off of it to be honest. It had a thick green crust on both sides, after I cleaned it with soap and water I could see the date of 1864........and I could see in spots it had amazing detail. So I gave it two long peroxide baths, each time till it stopped fizzing completely, then I picked at the crust with a toothpick, and to my surprise it came out exceptionally well, I was very pleased at the outcome. The 1906 is superb shape too and it has an unusal golden patina, doesn't show well in the photo but it looks gold in person. I have dug wheats like this before but never an indian.
