Got out today for a very cold and very possible last hunt for the year. Hunted a field site with my buddy, and I found a nice variety of items including a 1846 large cent. And good for 5 cents at the Saloon token. An Ohio 2 piece button . Couple buckles and other stuff. Cold day, but well worth it!

Hunted a field site today, started off at 28 degrees, top couple inches were frozen. I have hit this site several times before, and I noticed the farmed turned the top 3-4" of soil, and this time it was buttons all over the place! 3 beautiful CW infantry buttons, few flat buttons a 1902 indian and a CW store card. The day turned out pretty nice!
Got out today door knocking and found a GREAT yard! Got a little dig time in and found some goodies 3 silver dimes, 4 Indian pennies a buffalo nickel. 1938 dog tag, pile of wheats and of course a bunch of modern coins not shown.
I hunted all weekend long (approx 21 hours) with my new equinox 600. Finally put this beast to a real test. I hunted fields that had been previously pounded with my etrac and other machines and I did a few door knocks at old farm houses, that are known to be full or iron. To be honest this machine impressed me a lot. Its speed and recovery in iron is amazing. The NY botton came out of a hole with so much iron I am still amazed how the nox gave me such a good signal. My buddy went over the hole and didnt even get a signal except for iron. He was using an explorer with a small coil. Several indians and relics came from the field including the 1877 seated that I pulled from a etrac hit field. I have been using the etrac for 8 years and this nox makes me not even want to use the etrac...lol. Yes I have that much faith in it. The BIG gold was the highlight of the weekend it came in a soild 19 on the Nox and I really thought I was digging an indian penny, what a shock to pull out a size 13 gold ring that weighs 12.5g!!!! Also got several nice indians including a 1875 and 1879 that came from the gold ring farm yard. Great weekend or amazing finds..........more finds than I got in the last 4-6 months of last year!
Went out digging today with my buddy Hollis Gaskill and finally had a good day! We got good rain last nite so was finally able to do a lil digging. We were door knocking and we hunted two yards. Felt good to finally get out after such a long drought around here. Last silver I dug was April 15th !!!!!
Went out door knocking by myself today and still no silver but did get some cool finds. A ton of wheats not shown, two Indians, two buffalos, 1937, and 1920-D. Chinese coin, milk token. A cool lead toy, And my favorite find was the two French coins found in one hole they are 1902 and 1854! They rang up like a zinc penny. So dig all them signals!!!!
Here is my finds from last night after work hunt. Couple injuns, couple tokens, saw button, not positive in the large decorative item. Any ideas? Back has nothing on it
Hunted an old farm house tonite and got a penny trifecta with 1851 large cent, 1904 Indian and 1919 wheat. Couple buffalo nickels with dates, a flat button and a neat old Chicago zoo pendant.
Here are my digs from yesterday's afternoon session at the old farm house. Owner said it had been hunted 4 or 5 times but we were welcome to hunt it anyhow to see if they missed anything. I found, 5 wheats oldest was 1916-S. 1900 indian, gorgeous 1907 V nickel, 3 silver including a decent 1892 barber quarter. A destroyed merc dime and a Rosie as well. All in all a great hunt
This is my finds from hunting all day Sunday and again last nite after work. These came from many places a keeper here and there. I thought the Dizzy Dean pin was pretty cool it is from the 1930's according to google. The 3 Indians were all in one hole.
