![]() we got a two day warmup, all the snow melted so I was able to get out saturday with Nooberz....we knocked doors at old farm houses, first dig of the day was a 1909 indian, got a few wheats, then got the 1905 barber dime. I am on the board for silver for 2013 now. Got a couple more wheats and the old knife. I was more than happy to start the year out like this. Awesome day at almost 60 degrees in January, in the 40's today and gonna be in 30's all week.

This is the best year I have ever had for large coppers. Once again I am sure it has to do with hunting so many field sites. Not often does some one dig a large cent and a standing house in my area, just not that many houses that old in my area. But with field sites it allows me to get onto older sites and gives me a chance to get the older coins. Although my OLDEST copper this yr was dug in town, on a curb strip, in front of a 1920′s house. It was a 1746 KG, this coin is 100 yrs older than my town, a very rare find for my area.
